Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Mountlake Terrace, Washington

Pay: $24.00 per hour

 

Position Summary:

Creator Corporation USA is looking for an responsible individual with Bachelor's degree in Business, Global Trade, or Logistics for the position of Logistics Specialist. The successful candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player who will serve in a highly collaborative environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analysis, Process Improvement, and Functional Business Support:

  1. Manage domestic outbound margin reporting models and actively participate in meetings with Vice President of US Sales and Marketing Operations;

  2. Assist Vice President of US Sales and Marketing Operations in developing, sustaining, and achieving the Distribution and Global Logistics strategy;

  3. Analyze complex business problems and provide support to the Global Logistics function in providing analytical and business process support that will be instrumental in the formation of distribution strategy, cost savings, and continuous improvement efforts;

  4. Identify, evaluate, and develop procedures that are cost effective and meet business objectives;

  5. Prepare and implement the import/export manual, and provide training and technical support to the shipping facilities;

  6. Work with Logistics Center in China to administer the applicable carrier certification credentials;

  7. Assist Vice President of US Sales and Marketing Operations with legal requirements related to the import/export of commodities;

  8. Manage functional aspects of domestic manifesting system focused on accurate freight expense assessment and allocation;

  9. Regulate small parcel shipping outside of distribution centers to ensure proper account numbers are being used by co-workers;

  10. Communicate with Staff Accountant to obtain up-to-date accurate account information;

  11. Proactively develop new tools to provide timely analysis for management to make swift and appropriate business decisions; and

  12. Conduct analysis of freight billing rate and policy trends for various carriers to find and recommend improvements or changes to carrier agreements or highlight areas of opportunity for Creator to reduce costs or improve efficiency.

 

Freight Payment:

  1. Create and send out RFP documents, following up with participating carriers as needed during the competitive bid process;

  2. Prepare and audit international and domestic freight invoices for accuracy of contract prices and verify invoices are in agreement with carrier’s contract language;

  3. Set up coding structure for freight payments;

  4. Communicate with service providers to obtain additional required information for payment purposes and research discrepancies with service provider’s data and/or contracts;

  5. Work with Staff Accountant on month end and quarter close deadlines and prepare needed documentation for accrual purposes; and

  6. Audit, code, and process UPS E-bill invoice with average weekly gross revenue ranging from $10-25K.
